Rooftop System Supports in North and South Carolina
Hahn Mason Air Systems is proud to be an integral part of the North and South Carolina building construction and mechanical equipment industry with 84 years of experience, serving you from our 9 local offices and warehouse locations in Charlotte and Charleston. We represent one of the finest rooftop accessories manufacturers in RTS and are proud to offer their technology on your next project.
RTS offers a full line of rooftop support systems and custom walkways, platforms, and safety rails.
Base Supports
Heavy-duty rubber base supports are manufactured from 100% recycled ground crumb rubber, making them extremely durable as well as UV resistant. Non-penetrating rubber bases are easy to install on rooftops and do NOT require the use of an additional barrier layer. Rubber base supports are safe for all types of roof: rubber membrane, steel, and concrete.
Direct Mount Bases provide added support and safety
Direct mount bases allow you to permanently and securely mount stands to the rooftop structure. Direct mount bases can easily be interchanged with rubber bases to provide increased support for stand configurations, and may address seismic or wind considerations, with the approval of a licensed structural engineer. Bases are compatible with all H-stands and accessories.
H-Stands
H-Stands are used for safely and securely mounting pipes, spiral or rectangular duct, and cable trays. RTS H-Stands are available in a variety of configurations for numerous applications and are designed to maximize jobsite efficiency. Non-penetrating rubber bases eliminate the need for roof work, and welded cross braces and precut framing reduce hardware while allowing for easy adjustability above 12”. There is NO prefabrication time required.
Direct mount bases are interchangeable in most configurations, and may address seismic or wind concerns with the approval of a licensed structural engineer.
All H-Stands are compatible with 1-5/8” channel accessories. Pipe clamps, rollers, clevis assemblies, and pipe shields can be attached to meet the needs of any project. H-Stands are available in pre-galvanized, Hot Dip galvanized, and Stainless Steel finishes.
Condenser Supports
RTS offers three varieties of condenser supports to meet the needs of any application. Supports are available for lightweight, side-discharge mini-splits. Heavier supports are available for larger, heavier condenser units.
Support systems come in standard sizes and configurations. All designs can be modified to fit any project size and weight requirements. All material required is cut to length and shipped ready to bolt together. Assembly, height adjustment, and leveling can be achieved with standard hand tools.
Crossover Stairs and Ramps
RTS Stair and ramp systems employ innovative designs that save material and time on installation. Utilizing custom versions of the RTS rubber bases and high-strength steel framing, the RTS crossover units will not harm roof surfaces and safely allow pedestrian traffic over roof obstacles.
All standard 36” wide designs include 12 gauge anti-slip grating, and can withstand weights up to 465lbs. Stairs and Ramps come in standard sizes and custom solutions are available. All material is shipped cut to length, and ready to assemble with common hand tools. Pre-galvanized, Hot Dip galvanized, and Stainless Steel are available.
RTS rooftop crossover ramps are crossover bridges without the stairs. The ramp allows wheeled carts and other equipment to be easily and safely transported over rooftop obstacles. Crossover ramps feature anti-slip safety grating for improved traction and increased roof safety. Ramps also feature rounded transitional curbs, which provide a smooth transition between roof and access ramp, reducing trip hazards.
Maintenance Platforms
When dealing with any type of rooftop machinery, the Number 1 problem after installation is finding a way to provide maintenance workers with accessibility so they can perform their job such as cleaning, repair, and other tasks to ensure the machinery remains operative. The best way to do that is by building a custom rooftop maintenance platform that allows workers to safely and easily access rooftop equipment when service is needed.
Maintenance platforms are designed to fit project requirements. Constructed from a 3” by 3” semi-structural square tube, the system offers strength similar to dunnage, while still offering the convenience and time savings of a bolt together system. Custom maintenance platforms utilize anti-slip grating and include safety railings.
