Hahn Mason Air Systems is proud to be an integral part of the North and South Carolina building construction and mechanical equipment industry with 84 years of experience, serving you from our 9 local offices and warehouse locations in Charlotte and Charleston.  We represent one of the kitchen exhaust treatment system manufacturers in AirMaid and are proud to offer their technology on your next project.

Why Choose AirMaid?

AirMaid equipment treats kitchen exhaust to eliminate grease deposits and reduce odors in kitchen exhaust duct. The process involves introducing ozone into the exhaust, which then interacts with the grease particles and breaks them down into smaller molecules. These fragments then undergo further reactions with ozone, increasing the odds of their evaporation or becoming airborne.

There is no safety concern about ozone exposure to occupants. All ozone is injected into the extractor side of the kitchen grease duct. The ozone reacts with the kitchen exhaust, is reduced to oxygen, and is ejected out of the exhaust fan.

Advantages of AirMaid

Less Grease

Ozone breaks down grease to water and dry minerals that leave and don’t stick to duct inner surfaces.

  • Improves Fire Safety
  • Reduces Duct Cleaning

Less Odor

Ozone breaks down particulates that cause odors.

  • Fewer complaints from surrounding businesses and neighbors
  • Reduced bacteria inside the ductwork

Lower Costs

  • Easy to install in retrofits and new construction
  • Low Maintenance and Less Duct Cleaning
  • Simple operation. No action is required of kitchen staff to operate

Unit Placement

AirMaid units are mounted side-stream to the kitchen exhaust. Inlet air can be provided from the dining room, primary conditioned air, or outside air. Special considerations need to be given to all the inlet air options.

For ease of cleaning and operation checks, it is important to install the units in a space that can be easily accessed.
