Outside Sales Position in NC & SC
Summary:
Hahn-Mason Air Systems, Inc. (HMI) is looking for an Outside Sales Associate who will assist our customers in the sale of commercial and industrial HVAC equipment by building relationships in the greater NC, SC, VA areas. The position reports to the local Branch Manager.
We are Looking for a High Character Person who:
- Effectively communicates with HMI Leadership, the Sales Team, Warehouse personnel, and our customers.

- Coordinates with our manufacturing partners to ensure customer satisfaction
Duties:
- Builds partnering relationships with assigned Consulting Engineer accounts to earn basis of design (BOD), influence specifications, and lead account and project strategies to grow our account share across our entire line card of HVAC Systems offerings. Consistently drives specifications towards the full spectrum of HMI offerings with consulting engineers, not only earning BOD, but also influencing written specifications to provide value to the customers and differentiation from competitors. Makes selections for Consulting Engineers. Coordinates to get “approved equal” status on HMI offerings.
- Actively calls on assigned Mechanical Contractors to sell the entire range of HMI’s line card and on products from targeted manufacturers.
- Participates and collaborates to pursue projects with HMI Sales Engineers, based on account assignments, and honors the credit split guidelines in rewarding teamwork that increases project win rates and profitability.
- Understands HMIs strengths and competitors’ weaknesses and drives opportunities to provide HMI with maximum advantage.
- Leverages subject matter experts from within HMIs manufacturers to better position and optimize HMIs proposed offerings and systems, as needed. Conducts technical presentations on HMIs offerings and positions oneself as a subject matter expert to assigned accounts and key product lines.
- Keeps management informed of progress and account status. Leverages management with accounts, such as local, area, and/or executive leadership engagement and sponsorship, when and where appropriate. Utilizes applicable sales tools effectively to plan, build pipeline of opportunity, and document progress as well as increase penetration of accounts.
- Develops a solid understanding and remains current on industry standards, pertinent building codes, and best practices for design of HVAC systems.
- Assists in the development of the team sales and marketing plans and strategies. Aides in the implementation of these strategies and action plans. Targets new customers or projects based on account management and market strategies.
- Participates in professional organizations for reasons of personal development, customer relationship building, and industry networking within local market community.

Inside Sales Position in NC & SC
Summary:
Hahn-Mason Air Systems, Inc. (HMI) is looking for an Inside Sales Associate who will assist sales engineers in the sales of commercial and industrial HVAC equipment by providing general inside support in our NC, SC, VA offices. The position reports to the local Branch Manager. In addition, this individual will have job responsibilities to assist with all warehouse functions. Strong emphasis on customer service.
We are Looking for a High Character Person who:

- Understands and lives the company safety culture and is dependable.
- Coordinates with our manufacturing partners to ensure customer satisfaction
- Help sales engineers and customers with price quotations, ordering of equipment, technical information, equipment returns, and expediting orders.
Duties:
- Collaborate with sales engineers to understand customer requirements, to promote the sale of company products and to provide sales support.
- Confer with customers and sales engineers to assess HVAC equipment needs and to determine system requirements.
- Complete take-off of HVAC equipment from building plans.
- Develop equipment price quotations/proposals for customers based on customer request or information from sales engineer, present quotation to customer, and upon acceptance of quotation, provide technical document submittals as required.
- Assemble technical documents for submittal package, type equipment schedules and prepare the submittal data for the order correspondent to complete.
- Submit HVAC equipment orders to the manufacturers via online software or typed purchase orders.
- If equipment needed is in stock at the Hahn Mason Air Systems warehouse (consult the stock catalog), place a warehouse order.
- Coordinate all bidder quotes with branch offices. Verify updated pricing and accuracy of quotes received from other sales teams.
- Interact with customers to provide information in response to inquiries about products, costs, shipping, etc. and try to resolve any complaints as quickly and efficiently as possible.
- Maintain quotation and pre-order correspondence files. Keep order correspondent updated on orders.
- Specific Product Focus – Air Distribution, Sheetmetal / Ductwork, and Fans

Warehouse Associate – Charlotte & Charleston
Summary:
Hahn-Mason Air Systems, Inc. (HMI) is looking for a Warehouse Associate who who is responsible for fulfilling the logistics behind receiving, processing and storing inventory according to purchase orders and local policy. They also ensure that shipping schedules are met with attention to detail to ensure timely delivery and loss prevention. The position reports to the Warehouse Manager. Strong emphasis on customer service and dependability.
We are Looking for a High Character Person who:
- Effectively communicates with HMI Leadership, the HMI Sales Team, and the customer base.
- Deploys and maintains standardized usage of NetSuite.
- Manages the resources to maximize customer satisfaction and improve productivity and profitability.
- Inventory organization and maintenance
- Inspect inventory for defects or damages upon receipt from factory or before handing to customers
- Fulfill and check customer orders
- Operate forklifts with certification (certification not required for position but required for forklift operation)
- Routine cleaning of warehouse

Staff Accountant – Charlotte
Hahn-Mason is looking for a Staff Accountant who will be based in our Charlotte office. The position reports to the Controller. There is a strong emphasis on soft skills as well as financial.
We are Looking for a High Character Person who:

Objectives of this role
- Support the company in optimizing our financial systems and controls
- Support the Controller in day to day operations
- Bring a customer service first mentality in communicating and coordinating with internal team and external partners
- Exercise integrity and diligence with any financial transactions
- Assist in streamlining accounting processes by identifying areas for performance and/or system improvement
Responsibilities
- Recording monthly journal entries
- Reconciliations of cash and credit cards
- Creating Customer invoices / associated vendor bills
- Working closely with the sales team on customer invoices & resolving any issues
- Understanding of compliance issues around accounting processes (W-9, sales tax, credit applications, etc.)
- Gather and verify invoices for appropriate documentation prior to payment
- Maintain accounts receivable records to ensure aging is up to date, credits and collections are applied, uncollectible amounts are accounted for, and miscellaneous differences are cleared
- Perform daily cash management duties, including the recording of bank deposits, updating and distribution of cash receipt logs, and posting of cash to the accounts receivable sub-ledger
- Monitor and collect accounts receivable by contacting clients via telephone, email, and mail
- Management of monthly Sales & Use Tax filings
- Cross training and support for other accounting and finance team functions
Required skills and qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a financial discipline
- 3 Years of experience in accounting / receivables / payables
- Proficiency in working with NetSuite
- High level of attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Superb time management
